Transformers

The Transformers are back in theaters.  Autobots, Decepticons . . . the machines we Gen Xers remember from our childhood.  Only now they’re in a movie sequel that cast Patrick Dempsey as the bad guy.  Really?  Not an ideal bad guy – but that’s another blog’s territory.  Since we saw the movie last weekend, I thought it would make an excellent blog title.  After all, isn’t that what humans really are – transformers?

Writing For The Broken

Broken-hearted is a powerful term.  Just google the phrase and you'll see tons of song lyrics about broken-hearted people.  You'll see images that people created to express their broken hearts.  You'll even see sites that promise 15 scientific steps to heal a broken heart.  Wow.

Now We're Cool

We have officially entered the world of pastoral blogging.  Now we're cool.  I say "we" because, like just about everything Justin and I do, we do this together.  I was the fiction writing major in this marriage so that makes me the typing, writing, composing voice of our blog, but Justin's thoughts are equally represented in the writing.  If one of us blogs independently here, we'll let you know.  This week we want to introduce ourselves to you and help you understand a bit about who we are and how we see the world and our role in it . . .
